Farewell To My Best
Friend
Jordan T. Stilwell
1991-2004

Jordy lived with Mom and Me
from October 6, 1993
until we had to put him to sleep
on July 4, 2004.
He was named for the star of my Chicago
Bulls, Michael Jordan
who announced his first retirement the same day we went to pick
up the little dog from a wonderful lady who was having to go
to the nursing home and couldn't keep him anymore.
Jordan was the first animal to live in our house, and he
immediately took on the responsibility of taking care of
Grandma.
He chased mailmen and other bad guys away when they would
come up on the porch, and he would bark at strangers who came
to visit her if they got too close, like my relatives who would greet
or say goodbye to grandma with a kiss or a hug.
His protection allowed me the freedom to attend
the best University in these parts, John Brown,
for 3 years, until grandma had a massive stroke and not even
Jordan could protect her.
Now he is with Grandma in heaven and I am sure he is lying right
at her feet like he used to.
I picked out the full name of Jordan T. Dog because of
the character Crow T. Robot on one of my favorite shows
Mystery Science Theater 3000.
As with Crow, the "T" stood for "The"
On Christmas of 2003 Jordan was awarded a
proclamation stating that "because of his ten years
of love, loyalty and companionship...he had earned the
right to hold the honorable name of Jordan T. Stilwell."
Jordan was the Scooby-Doo to my Shaggy,
The Snoopy to my Charlie Brown.
I Love You So Much!
I will never forget you little buddy !!
Message To My Family
A Poem from a pet
-----------------------
The day you laid me down to sleep
you prayed to the Lord; my soul to keep
I know you had to send me on my way
but you sent me to a new; better; and much brighter day
You sent me home; to heaven above
where I'm cradled in God's arms; covered with His love
I understand what you did; you did out of love
and I'll return that love; from my new home above
My sickness is gone; and I'm free here to roam
I run and play in the meadows; here in my new home
We play here by the Bridge; from morning to night
there is no rain here; just warm sunlight
I know you all miss me; I miss you all too
but I'll always be with you; whatever you do
Please wipe the tears; from your weeping eyes
by remembering the good times; from days gone by
When you look out; into the dark of night
I'll be that bright star; your guiding light
We'll meet again at the Bridge one day
when we'll walk in the light; together to stay
